I'm looking for a piece of interesting poetry, any ideas?
As part of my English Lit homework I have to find a piece of text (it can be in the form of poetry, a novel, children's book, anything) which is somewhat unusual and intriguing. I'm still in the process of trying to find a truly unique piece of poetry, so if you have any ideas, they would be very helpful.

Check out this list of 180 unusual but easy-to-understand poems. They're all pretty brilliant, and they're not by your usual, super-famous poets (Wordsworth, Shakespeare and that lot)... they're by more unusual authors: http://www.loc.gov/poetry/180/p180-list.html
Something you could also do if you want something really original is find a poem written by an unknown poet. It's quite easy to find other people's poems online but you might have to look for a while in order to get one you like or think is good enough.
