Surfing Culture with Billabong Clothing

In the year 1973 the Billabong clothing line was established in Australia and since that time it has been providing the world with the most amazing sportswear and surf wear accessories. In the Australian English lingo, Billabong is a small lake which is an oxbow lake, a part of still water adjacent to a river, cut off by a change in the watercourse. Billabongs are usually formed when the path of a creek or river changes leaving the former branch with a dead end. The love for water and sports is what led to this brand being called Billabong.

The shorts that Billabong is famous for was invented in 1973 by Gordon and Rena Merchant in Australia. They made board shorts at their home and created it by hand for many years. It was then that there was a large demand so they had to move their business to a warehouse to supply them faster just to keep up with the growing demand.

Billabong has all kinds of clothing from jeans to board shorts and wetsuits to shirts. Billabong has now taken over the surfing and snow market in clothing and is now a multinational corporation. Billabong clothing is sold in most parts of the world and has chains all over. Billabong's line sells denim, walk shorts, board shorts, flannels, fleece, luxury fleece and all ranges of wet suits made during summer or winter seasons based on the surfing culture which has now spread all over the world.

Billabong caters to four interest groups and all their clothing is mostly aimed at these areas. ‘Snow' which is for the skiers and the snow boarders, ‘Surf' for all the surfers and surfing culture, ‘Skate' for the boarders and ‘Wake' for the water skiers and wake boarders.

Around the brand the company has managed to develop a culture based on surfing which revolves around high adrenaline sports and good physiques. All people involved in this culture crave to be completely involved in it. Billabong has and still produces active lifestyle clothing, accessories and related products designed and distributed to a worldwide customer base of board riders and their products have always been based on authentic environment and sold through specific retailers. Active enthusiasts in every department from marketing and sales, to design and merchandising, bring a genuineness and unique quality to both the innovative products and related events produced by the Billabong brand.

How long does it take a 55 gallon reef tank to become established?

It has been up and running for about 2-3 months, has several large pieces of live rock, Halimeda plants, has live Caribbean sand, a Rena wet/dry filtration system, a Coralife protein skimmer, and its inhabitants are:

3 Green Chromis (1 small, 2 medium)
1 Diamond Goby
1 Ocellaris Clownfish
3 medium-large turbo snails

**This is our first reef tank and I just would like to know what is considered an "established" reef tank.

(p.s. We DON'T plan on adding any coral or anemones)

Thanks for any help :)
Well, I guess we might consider adding an anemone or coral sometime down the road

after 3 months it will be fully cycled and established ready for coral and anemones. since your not adding coral or anemones its not considered to be a reef tank its a FOWLR(fish only with live rock)tank. i started a 30 gallon reef tank for my gf about 2 1/2 months ago and i just started to add fish. so you are established, down the line you might have a diatom breakout(looks like brown algae) but you may not, its very common. if you do plan on adding anemones or corals because of their divine beauty! you are going to need a coral life lighting system, i use a lunar aqualight on 3 of my reef tanks, in my opinion they are the best. i also suggest adding 3-4 more fish, mainly top to mid tier as diamond gobies get pretty big, so i suggest cardinals, more chromis, wrasse(FOWLR or reef safe)
