is it safe to use this product? is there possibility of coolant leak since I cut the hose and install the T into the system?
If the (intake) hose from the water-pump to the heater core is still pliable, you'll never have a problem. The cap on the T will not leak either. Cut the hose in a convenient location so you can tighten the worm-drive hose clamps easily. Keep in mind an easy location for the garden hose hook-up.
I've used these kits for 40 years. They are a "must" now that there are no block drains and some cars don't have radiator petcock drains.
