2002, the Exxon Mobil Corporation launched at Stanford University Global Climate Change and Energy Project (GCEP), Exxon Mobil, GE Corporation, Schlumberger, and Toyota Car Company for this project in joint venture 225 million U.S. dollars within 10 years.

Global climate change and energy projects (GCEP) to include 30 research projects involving hydrogen; advanced combustion engine technologies; solar; carbon dioxide capture, storage and separation; biomass; and advanced materials and catalysts.

Exxon Mobil Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation and the company set up to open Te Pile Research Consortium to develop improved internal combustion engines and fuel systems. And Daimler Chrysler Cooperation Development of lubricants to improve fuel economy, extended oil change period and reduce emissions.

In fuel cell development, ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company invested 2.2 million U.S. dollars with British QuestAir technology developed hydrogen generator car.

ExxonMobil investing in new cogeneration (CHP) projects, the CHP using natural gas to fuel its cogeneration energy efficiency is the traditional twice. 2004 to 2005, Exxon Mobil Corporation's ability to increase CHP 800MW, investment of 1 billion U.S. dollars. Photosynthetic algae, including microalgae (algae) and cyano-bacteria (often called blue - green algae), algae use the energy of sunlight is too light can be very effective to convert carbon dioxide into the cells of the oil (lipid ), and even some types of long chain hydrocarbon, which can be further processed into fuels and chemicals. Preparation of seaweed from the optical bio-synthetic oil for the system is expected to take a wide range of fuels, including gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel, to meet current product specifications.

According to ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company (EMRE) estimated that algae per acre per year is expected to produce over 2000 gallons of fuel Other Bio-fuel sources of much lower production rate:

palm oil: 650 gal / acres, sugar cane: 450 gal / acre year

cereals: 250 gal / acre

What Am I Going to do? my tank is a disaster!!!!! Saltwater people, i need your help!?

I went on a trip and my dad took care of the fish and then, when I come back, The front glass is covered with dark green algae and the rocks are covered in cyanobacteria. HOw should I get rid of it? Should i add cyano remover? i am scared because i think it might have killed my starfish, But my clownfish is fine. HOw can I scrub the dark green algae out? Should I get a couple more snails? Thank you

Yeah.. stop panicking.. it's only algae. Looks ugly, but wont harm your fish directly.

Work out if the starfish is dead, if it is get it out of there before it causes more issues.

Scrape the easy to get stuff, add a couple more snails, get your lighting back on the correct schedule and it should all gradually clear up.

Dosing with random chemicals can have all sorts of unintended results. Maybe they will kill the bacteria, now you suddenly have a tank full of dead (decaying algae) and that's MUCH worse.

Keep an close watch on your water parameters as high nutrient levels will also encourage algae growth, so some extra part water changes may help things too.
